AZYR Specs is an eyewear archive specializing in rare vintage and deadstock frames sourced from around the world. Each piece is carefully selected for its design, provenance, and enduring relevance, then refurbished with new lenses or left empty to be customized by the modern wearer.

Founded in 2021, AZYR Specs was born from a fascination with the transformative power of eyewear. While working on the costume team for a 1970s period film, founder Maureen Ryza experienced firsthand how a frame could instantly alter a persona. She also encountered a recurring problem: exceptional vintage eyewear was becoming increasingly difficult to wear, often left behind with outdated prescriptions or sitting unused in old optician inventories and private collections.

What began as a search for authentic, period-correct eyewear evolved into a global sourcing practice. Today, AZYR Specs works with collectors, opticians, and independent sources worldwide to bring overlooked frames back into circulation.

The collection spans decades of eyewear design, from distinctive vintage silhouettes to deadstock frames preserved in original condition. Every piece is singular; AZYR does not reproduce designs. Frames undergo an authentication process and, where applicable, are fitted with new lenses, allowing their original character to continue into a new life.
